Put the red top on and runs awesome on standard boost with a ss cold induction kit. Old motor went into self distruct after waste gate actuator stopped working. This is the ghost misfire at 3500-4000 rpm over boost will destroy yr motor always sooner rather than later. So have a ba turbo head in good nicker and other bits off the block will trade for decent blow off valve to suit

The differences in piston crown and gudgeon pin will make this a short lived experience if you are not EXTREMELY careful and lucky, as compression ration is waaaaay too high for a turbo application, and self detonation and pinging can destroy your engine really easily. Could be another option...Yes the heads are the same, except for the differences you mention. Be aware though, the to replace the exhaust valves with Turbo ones, will set you back about $100 each (12 of them in the head) so you do the maths....
