Pulled the old crappy radiator out and waiting for the arrival of my new radiator. Just wanna flush all the crap out before putting the new one in.Just a garden hose in either side for a while should do a good enough job and then a full flsuh once the new radiator is in?Thansk guys. Undo butterfly screw bottom right (front on) of radiator and drain the coolant.3. Place hose in coolant bottle and fill until water is coming out of bottom of radiator.4. With the hose running, start the car and turn the heater on full.5. Run it like this for around 3-5 mins.6. Turn car and hose off and wait for water to drain.7. Fill with pre-mixed coolant8. Start car and top up as necessary. You wont get all the water out unless you use a crap load of coolant but the above method is fine for the next 30-50 thou ks.. If you get it wrong it will corrode your cooling system. You can get pre mixed coolant in 5L bottles which you just pour in. You will need 2 bottles. I was thinking the coolant might drip into it?also if you run the car for 3-5mins,switch off then drain and fill with cold hose water cant this cause issues? With the car running and the water constantly draining/filling and not recirculating the car probably won't have a chance to heat up too much anyway. You just need enough engine temp for the thermostat to open so 5 mins should be enough. Also, coolant won't hurt your car. Just hose it down when you finished. Its water soluble.
