Hrmm that's allot of kays. I'd factor in the cost of getting all the bushes replaced, all suspension replaced and new disks and pads. Maybe even a clutch.

Had a new clutch 8,000kms ago, front disc pads near new and rear are approx 50%. Bushes are a roadworthy item so should be changed. I know that the differential bush is split and that's being done.

The racv report says that the stabliliser bars - links rear bushes are worn and rear suspension trailing arms bushes are split and I did show this to the seller and asked him to get them done when doing the roadworthy, but not sure if he will as his mechanic didnt pick up on them. :P

Well sounds like most stuffs done so you should be right, keep in mind if he's taken it to his roadworthy guy he'll try and get out of as much stuff a possible though.

and a new turbo

maybe a rod

:stirthepot:

Racv didn't say anything in the report about the Turbo and the car has been serviced regularly with all receipts kept. The guy seems like he has babied the car and looked after it, so hopefully the Turbo will last a little.

Yeah but apparently a LOT of mechanics have hammered down on roadworthies and it's a tougher process, so it's not the seller that will try to get out of paying for stuff, it depends on the mechanic. I did contact the seller and told him to get all the bushes that are split and worn replaced and he has a copy of the racv inspection too, so I have made my state, hopefully he follows through.
