Hey guys!

I get to pick up my car on tuesday and I'm preparing the paperwork at the moment.

I'm writing a receipt to fill out with the seller of the vehicle when I pick it up.

I have a basic template of which I am using that has...

Sellers name

Sellers address

Buyers name

Buyers address

Vehicle Details:

Make

Model

Year

Vin

Mileage

Space for amound and paid in full and also two spaces for sellers and buyers signature.

Is there anything else of importance that I should state on this Receipt?

Actually no. Vicroads no longer offer the vehicle check for encumberance, written off or stolen vehicles. They now direct you to another site that charges you to find out that information. :/

I did ask the seller and he said that its fully paid for so I guess I have to take his word.

Vicroads don't do these anymore. :/

I'd like to know what would happen if one purchased a car with money owning on it... Wouldn't the receipt be worth anything in this case?

What would happen, does anyone know?

No it will get repossessed as you dont own it , the bank or finance company do. BETTER CHECK!!!!!!!!!!!

But if Vicroads put it in my name, then I would own it?
