:pinch: I've spoken to 3 Ford service managers about the mod's that we can do to XR-6T or XR8 and keep new car warranty ,They will not be void as long as the mod's fitted was not a direct cause to a warranty claim. :hag:

Ford seem to be very good regarding the idea of any mod's we were doing. Time will tell. :spit:

 Tyson, you guys just keep fitting those UNICHIPS and Injectors and other go fasty bits. Bloody absolutely fantastic job mate, you said I was straining to keep my neck forward on our test run yesterday. I now have the ultimate wife quietener. Point the car in the direction you want to go and then floor it. Mine was speechless for about five minutes :hag::huh:

I was also told last night by a Ford salesmanager that Ford have asked their mechanics to photograph any non factory exhaust system fitted to the XR6T when the cars come in for servicing.

*coughs bullsh!t*

If every service manager has to do this Im friggin Santa Claus!

I work at a dealership and have not heard anything like this.

Sooo many rumours, so few london bridges to fall down....

I am not doubting your source of info Jamie, just the truth in it!

Salesman...... :hiwelcome:

Im sure FORDTECH will confirm my research.

That was from a Ford dealer with whom I've had some bad experiences with before.

I was a bit scepticle myself. I've put several mods on my last new XR6 and and found the same as was mentioned here. That as long as the mod doesn't cause the damage then there isn't a problem.

He was telling me that they are not concerned from the cat back. Only the manifold and cat.

It appears that as the turbo has only a small amount of boost, it needs back pressure to keep load on it.

Anyway time will tell, and I know that I'm ordering APS' phase one as soon as I have the spare change.

Cjl,

I did in August this year.

What is done:

1.Removed centre muffler (love that sound)

2. New K&N filter

3.Unichip

Very, very happy, why not? 211.7 kw at wheels at 5479rpm.

You will feel that on first light. Fuel economy between 13.5 - 14.0 per 100.
