Hey guys,

Speak of the devil... My Rear Driver's door crapped itself last week so this is awesome timing! I'd be keen to try it myself, although can anyone suggest where to get an actuator from? Does it have to be from Ford?

And can anyone link me to a thread with pictures?

Cheers guys!

Dan

EDIT: Just had a read through that thread and it all seems fairly straight forward. I saw a 'cog' for sale on ebay that the seller says is the reason for many failures. How do I know what's wrong with my actuator? Do I need to pull it all apart and see? How will I know if I need a full assembly? Cheers!

Hey guys,

Me again ^_^ I went out to try and take the door trim off today, but my door is locked... I'm not sure I can get everything off when the door is closed.

Does anyone know how I can open the door, or if I can indeed remove everything with it closed?

Cheers guys,

Dan

Same door actuators from au3 onwRds.. I got a few from the wreckers and replaced the worm gear that was snapped.. that's the one on ebay for $17.. Be carefull when opening not to lose the spring and plastic spacers that might shoot out

Well guys,

Went out there today and removed the actuator - Not as bad as I'd thought. Turns out the screw was broken, so I ordered a new one today!

Problem solved. I'd be happy to put up the pics of it if anyone is interested?

Thanks for the help guys,

Much appreciated.

Dan
