Most important is to change all other fluids regularly like diff and trans every 40k.Im deferentially no mechanic but even your service manual recommends 7500klms for oil . Went to a mechanics seminar 12 months ago or near a bouts and listened to one of the top guys from Castrol talk about how oil is made and works and even he recommend 7500 and even less for your more high performance cars , particularly turbos. Even top line synthetics can only hold contaminates for so long And please correct me if Im wrong , don't you run the risk of damaging your turbo if the supply of oil is hindered in any way ( blocked line , dirty oil , crap in your oil ) .
