Hey guys, a couple of friends and I are going down to Whoop Ass Wednesday at Kwinana tonight and had a couple of quick questions for someone that might have been before:

How do I pay for tickets beforehand? The website has general admission, but nothing for people that are actually racing...

Is it really necessary to perform a burnout before hand? I run street tyres and a hottish evening is forecast, I really don't see how this can be beneficial.

Are drag strips more sticky or less sticky than a decent bit of road? How much difference does this make to launch RPM?

Is there an opportunity to genuinely line up with my mates? Is that how this works, or is it a random thing and a timeslip comparison at the end of the night?

It opens at 5pm, is it good to get in early? What are the crowds like for people that are racing?

Cheer's for any tips and advice!

Drags on average street rubber and 300rwkw is gay, unless you want to run mid-high 12's

Get drag radials, don't tell you mates

Smash them and LOL

Sometimes street rubber is ok, depends on the track, I was doing a soft launch then I'd hit 3rd (no spin in 2nd) and bake the tyres from 120-180km/h I killed a new set of re001's in one meet doing this sh*t, drove me crazy so I got radials $550 for the pair...

Get there as early as you can to suss it out

Oh my car is almost stock bar rebound springs and Nitto NT-05's. I will be happy with a mid to low 13. I have never been to the drags but want to get a baseline before I modify the sh*t out of it once the warranty is done.

My brother and mate have a VE Bogan special and VY SS (all utes) so it will be interesting to see how the F6 stacks up. They both have a reasonable level of mods, OTRCAI/Full Exhaust/Tune with the VY having a cam as well. They both eat me for grip when playing on the road as well.

Probably more the fact that you're WOT (or close to depending on grip) on the tracks so spin on streets is a guarantee.

Na mate not going tonight, no money haha but want to go soon.

no but on a hot strip with hot tyres it can be really greasy, nittos arent too bad, small burnout to get the water off them and keep them warm, first run just off idle, maybe slight stall to 1000-1500rpm but dont try to launch it, see how it behaves and go from there

It's fun on street tyres. More grip than the road until you spin the tyres. There is good grip but overpower it and because of the traction compound put on the track it turns to ice.

You will work out where the line is after a few runs

Have fun mate!
