I have fitted Herrods own kit to my G6ET.

It consists of custom Koni red's and their own spec of King Springs. This kit is designed specifically for the FG.

It dropped the car 35mm, just slightly under 100mm at the lowest point which is the flange on the back of the factory cat. For all money you wouldn't pick that the car has been lowered, at least my work mates couldn't pick it. Handling wise... crazy. Just brilliant. It hunts corners now, really goes after the line. I found with the factory stock suspension it would start to feel light over the back and away from car when cornering. Not now.

I originally was looking at Bilsteins too and was turned away from them in favour of the Koni as I'm never going to track race (circuits) the car so for a street spec car Bilsteins would be too heavy/overkill in favour of the Koni red shock.

Here are a couple of pics of before and after if you are interested in what it looks like.

Hope that helps mate. It cost me $2200 fitted with a wheel alignment and it is money well spent. Can't recommend it enough! Doesn't scrape on speed bumps or foul the front bumper everywhere either.

You can get any height king spring you want to go with the K-reds. Perfect set up for the luxo barge IMO.

The billies are great, but a bit choppier over rough roads. Kinda moves away fom the whole Luxo theme a bit.

If I was going to drop the best part of ten G Ohlins would be my first pick

Thanks for the input G6ET8U I must admit that I was worried that the billys would be to severe , I have to admit I have them in my XR6 t ute and they are a little bit firm however everytime I go hunting an apex I love them, its just that they might be out of character in the g6

Has anyone else got feedback on the koni reds , had to laugh I have had the car for a week and so far it had a f6 dash fitted, new gtp rims, the 6 spot brembos are in the shed waiting as are the h&r coils , once that is fitted it will get a 270 kw at he wheels chip and my wife says AND YOU BOUGHT THIS CAR FOR ME DID YOU ,

They are just a great engine and gearbox that I beleive are so under rated

Black on black as well

Nice choice of bus for starters!!

Sounds a bit like when Homer bought the bowling ball for Marge in The Simpsons... just watch out though as if you remember Marge started bowling!! haha

Having just gotten my car back today with it being at Bluepower for a week, I got back in mine and it is every bit as good as I remember it!

+1 here for the Koni setup. I sometimes take a country style 'B' road home from work and it can get very bumpy in places even though 100kph the whole way. The koni's aren't harsh or choppy at all over the bumps, some of which are off camber. Stock suspension didn't cope very well at all with the bumps whereas the koni's just ride the bumps, soak them up and keep the car planted. Very impressed.

Hi sam its actually oil temp which I think is better than oul pressure as turbo motors fail when the oil gets to hot and itells u when to get out of it ,I would like oil pressure as well but these thing s will shut down if it gets low anyway
