Hi guys

Just chasing some info as to where can I send an alpine amp to get repaired? The amp is an MRP-M1000 mono block. All the lights turn on but it has no output. Perth would be my preferred choice but as I live 1700kms from there I'd be happy to post it anywhere in aus.

Cheers

Chris

R and I electronics Morley Chris

Yep these are the "official" guys here in Perth. I've had a few things repaired by them, but did take a while.

I would just buy a new one with factory warranty, by the time you get it repaired postage etc its not worth repairing electronics

It would be worth getting them to have a look at least. If I can get it repaired for under $150-$200 I'd be happy. Then with my old stereo parts (I have already replaced this amp so I couldn't care how long it lasts) I have a full setup, DVD head unit, 2 x subs, 2 x amps, splits & 6x9s. Selling a full setup I reckon would be much easier than an "almost complete stereo".

Mate I do agree with you in your thoughts if its 150-200 to get it fixed, I would find out the fee they charge to look at only as alot of places charge you just to look at it and that doesnt mean its repairable and or parts being expensive so you could be out of pocket over 100+ before you start if its repairable

Im only saying as ive had afew mates send amps off be slugged for just looking at it and then them not repairing it this includes amps out of warranty sent back to the manufacturer

Anyway I wish you luck if you decide to get it repaired

R and I charge $40 too strip and diagnose, which is then absorbed into the repair cost if you go ahead
