For 300 just change ya cat. some smart cookie on here worked out the internal surface areas & flow of the popular used exhausts & the 3 was only slighly better than the std one, the only benefit is that its single over slpit so ya dont have backpressure/resistance from these points.

My only other advise I can give is dont go just big enough with ya cooler cause once ya start even with best intentions you'll want that little bit more & bit more. Maybe look at a staged kit from one of the advertisers, you'll end up with a good quality cooler, pipework & bigger intake system. The better it flows the easier it'll make numbers & you'll get better consistancy on hot days.

As for vcm being better than xcal I think that's got alot to do with what the tuner uses & prefers. You'll find that most around here use xcal & having multiple tunes is awesome. You can run multiple power levels & use different fuels & it only takes minutes to swap around.

Xcal sounds like it has more options available including ZF tuning and some good logging options and there are lots of shops using them.

If you like to have a dabble yourself the HP Tuners hardware is similarly priced and you can also get multiple tunes which you can modify and swap around yourself. I don't think it's quite as user friendly but you can tune as many different cars as you want to by buying credits if you have the inclination.
