(erm... till we have to put the brakes on) Not a bad little package all the same.

Posted 08/01/04 05:34 AM Share Posted 08/01/04 05:34 AM I think the DJ 320 is a better effort and flex of the Boss's muscle than the FPV cars. FOr all the hype and buildup, their performance is somewhat dissapointing - even diehard GT lovers would admit to that. For 90K? Sure, they'll sell a few because they are better than the FVP's and there will always be Ford fans out there wanting to own the fastest and most exclusive production V8 wearing the blue oval. But they wont come close to a tuned Xr6Turbo. I seriously doubt the DJR320 would keep up with my car, let alone something like a Phase 3 or 4 APS system. Even after upgrading the transmission, drivetrain, brakes, tyres, exhaust etc etc, your'e left with $30k in change....that can buy me a hell of a lot of in car multimedia, different coloured leather trimms and weird body styling kits....Although I think the front spoiler/grille and particularly the side skirts look really cool - better than either the XR's or GT's.DJR are also working on an XR6Turbo based vehicle for release soon....so I've been told. That one I'll be more interested in sussing out.

Then your local priest for the drivetrain to hold up.

Ford wont honnor any warranty on the cars, and it will be upto DJR and Herrods. Also that with Herrods involvement in the project, FoMoCo is not to happy about it either and as a consequence they may not be getting any inside or direct dealings or work from them anymore. Like doing their show cars etc etc. Hmmm that's a bit of a blow.

As far as I know, the law states that a vehicle manufacturer may only knock back a warantee claim once they PROVE that modifications to the car were the SOLE cause of the problem. This is not easy to do. If a diff goes, and other standard cars' diffs have gone, then its hard to prove the sole reason was modification of the car.You would definitely have to argue with them though to win it...their initial answer would be "fark off".Ford can not under Australian law "refuse" a complete warantee simply because some parts of the car were modified. Guest cul08r Guests Posted 09/02/04 12:35 AM Share Posted 09/02/04 12:35 AM It depends on the agreement that DJR and Herrod have with Ford Australia. With Subarus, Subaru as a company (in Japan) do not cover the warranty of the vehicles sold here in Australia. Subarus imported into OZ are purchased by a company (Inchcape) who buy them ex-warranty and cover the warranty themselves. Maybe DJR have agreed to do this too.Andrew

There's the original Orange one, I've seen a HgAg one in a magazine and now this White one.
