Hi guys, my turbo bearings are gone an I was wondering which option to go for.

Sould I just get the turbo high flowed with new bearings which would set me back 1000 dollars, or a new catridge with a bigger, front compresser wheel, the turbo is of a 2003 ba model. I do wanna hit the 400kw at wheel mark in future.

Thanks mic

If your future goal is 400kw I'd buy a spanking new turbo to suit. How bad is the damage on your original? If its not so bad maybe a rebuild with a T04Z front cover or similar? All comes down to how much you have to spend. Don't forget the tuning afterwards if you change covers or turbos :)

Have a look around in the tech section. Iam sure the are a few good bits of info on turbo comparisons, pricing and results.

First off 400 on your BA motor or a new motor. Better of standard turbo and spending money on a new FG short motor as a BA won't handle that power long. On the FG short you will see 370rwks with your standard turbo easy and reliable.

hey mate, got the same problem with my turbo and was also wondering the benefits of upgrading to a .70 cover. Would the UBP intake still fit on this?
