Born and Bred in the RSA Posted 20/09/12 07:02 AM Share Posted 20/09/12 07:02 AM It would sound a little strange, Mercedes win the Bathurst 1000.But then again Jaguar have also done it before. More teams are the go, only wish Chrysler would jump in as well. Be good see them win the 1000 for the first time.Didnt Volvo come close too one year with Brocky behind the wheel? Guest XR09 Guests Posted 22/09/12 09:18 PM Share Posted 22/09/12 09:18 PM Wasn't it a Volvo wagon that Brock drove...and went quite well while it went lol.And Bathurst was won by forien cars for many years before it became a Ford/Expensive Daewoo thing. For the race that's modern history.I can't see BMW sitting on the sidelines if Merc pulls any weight out of V8SC's. I just hope they do keep some resemblance to the stock car and not end up like Nascar. Also sad too see Toyota not jumping on the V8 wagon....You would hate to be dumping ballast in the front of a race car to keep it...homoganised ... against a cast iron dinasor

I could see Toyota coming in 2014.
