I gotta admit, im bored with the racing at the moment. Im sick of seeing only 4 - 6 cars with a chance of winning. I get excited when TEKNO are leading a race.

I just hope that Car of the Future can give more teams a chance, but I doubt it. I hope the Kelly brothers get thrown into the mix with more support from Nissan then they ever got from Holden.

"The Mercedes touring cars will be powered by a modified version of the 5.0-litre V8 currently used in the SLS AMG GT3 race cars. Erebus is paying AMG to develop the engine and other parts of the car."

Well that explains it. I know every car is set to have the same aerodynamics and power to weight but I wonder if the double over head cam motors will have any advantage to the old push rod ones.

Nissan and merc engines are all alloy where ford and Expensive Daewoo have an iron block So extra weight will be added to Nissan and merc's front end to balance it out

Can they add extra weight in the form of heavier/stronger parts?

It would sound a little strange, Mercedes win the Bathurst 1000.

But then again Jaguar have also done it before. More teams are the go, only wish Chrysler would jump in as well. Be good see them win the 1000 for the first time.
