My HIDS were heaps cooler than the factory globes, I always thought they were too hot

alright so I finally changed my lights over to 35w on the weekend prior to oscars fight.

installed them yesterday and everything went smoothly, piece of cake to install!

however there seems to be a different pattern of light and a bit of different colour (right a bit more yellow than left and not as blinding when looking at it from infront..not straight out infront, stand up more until the actual globe is shining in your eyes..). usually left hand light is aimed left a bit more and that's from factory as safety yada yada..

but mine seems to have a large triangle it just doesnt light up.

also when I changed over from 55w to 35w and looms etc, he didnt straight up change to a whole new box, just changed bits n pieces. dont recall him changing globes but may have forgotten.

just after opinions n what your guys lit up area is like, colour of globes etc..

this is the triangle on the far left that's not lit up at all. yes the right has a similar shape but its way bigger on the left opposed to that on the right.

this was a reflection of the lights at safeway when I pulled up after driving for a good hr. no tint on either panels. just a straight up reflection

heres some install pics as to where ive put the ballasts. just used to velcro, 2 stripes (1 fury, 1 rough strip) on each ballast and car body. aint going nowhere..

I can't say if yours are the same but the FG has two adjustment screws- one for height, the other moves them from inner to outer. Clearly yours needs to move out wider.

The pattern on the road looks pretty average at the moment, might not be that bad as photos make it look worse.

regular h4s prior to HIDs were fine, didnt need moving out or anything. these are sitting right in the hole, not off to one side or angled etc

and what about the reflection? looks like a regular h4 globe ffs..wtf? lol :dontknow:

they cant allways be 100%, so along the line you may get a dodgy one that doesnt come up to the correct colour.

just take a photo and send it to him. he should be fine to replace it shy.

He will replace them, I had one blow just before the car went. Told him and he replaced all of them and gave me back the rest.

My car came with the light blue interior lights + number plate light, love the look of them! Wasn't sure if they were stock of not as I hadn't seen the interior lights at night on another FG.

Hey mate, I'm also from Sydney and interested in getting all my lights done... Have you got the contact details of the guy you got yours from??? Btw it looks good twisted my arm...

Are you referring to the interior + number plate lights or the headlights?

My interior, number plate and parkers are all T10 9SMD White LED's, which enhance the look a great deal.

As for the HID's got them from the same place as the other guys here. Heaps easy to deal with and ship's pretty quick (think I had mine in 2-3 days). I'll PM you his details.

My high beams (H7's) are Phillips Diamond Vision 5000K which I got from eBay for $32 delivered

btw when you contact Alex for the HID's ask if he can do the same prices he does for pickup. I got those prices plus $14 I think for express postage with H4's and H11's

lol when u email him make sure u tell him u want the smaller ballasts and seperate loom for each light. if not ull end up with the same package I got, big ballasts and one looms that needs to go over the radiator..waited ti l I got my licence back and swapped it over, he was happy to replace it. man he can talk though...fmd lol

btw my lights, everytime I drove at night I went and looked at the lights afterwards cos it was pissing me off..couldnt find a thing wrong with them. drove to work last friday and had a look at smoko, and fark me, the drivers side light was pointing up LOL :banghead: anyway theyre still giving out different colour from each globe so this weekend while im passing thru melbourne ill pop by and swap them over.

still love the lights, so much more light on the road!

also agree with goliath, the white lights for interior are ace. even the centre light replaced and lights up a beauty at night :) the light around the key also done, easy as to replace. blue atm but got white globes to put in soon. some people say the white gives a cold feeling to the car, but I much rather white than yellow! :P
