There is a clip that holds the handbrake shoes against the backing plate. If that clip isn't holding the shoes against the backing plate then the resulting vibration can causes squeaking sounds.VERY easy to sort out. Remove wheel, caliper, disc, handbrake shoes, etc. Either replace the clip with a new one or just bend it back into place. Reassemble.I had rear end squeaking noises a while ago. Took it to a taxi mechanic and he had it diagnosed before we even got out of the carpark. The car was up on the hoist and the noise stopped a few minutes later. That's what gets loose. It can cause the brakeshoes to catch on the rotor when pulling off the rotor because the brakeshoe assembly does not stay vertical up against the rear wheel inside hub. Paulie2256 showed it on mine. The spring wire just gets too weak.
