from a tuners point of view is it safer to put more boost and less timing in?

just asking because I have 272rwkw and 14psi (with walbro, 988s, cat, monza, plaz hot side and ubp). exhaust mani and turbo bolts weren't tightened though which is my fault.

I have since put in a plaz cooler but haven't bothered retuning at this stage. not optimised for it but my wideband says AFRs haven't changed so meh. It is going a bit better though.

Am I right in thinking with these I should be making more power with less boost?

For my mods and 15psi what power would you expect?

My car with almost same mods made 301 at 14psi., or maybe it was 13psi cant remember.

Spoke to sprio! All good as he said "has the car changed or lost power after the tune" NO so he said don't worry synod are fukd for numbers and only good for tuning! But he did say send the xcal to him and he will adjust the fan settings :)

Also he said I won't require a retune once I replace the hot side piping!!!! Might just get another check up once replaced :P

why cant he email you

my tuner emailed me some adjustments I wanted made to my ZF tune

it literally takes a minute to upload it to the XCAL 3

saves hours of hassle

and you can even change the tune name files, like sh*tty mail order tune, mad skid tune etc...

edit, you just need to download the software from Herrod website
