Catbacks aren't an issue, especially with the muffler out. That power vs boost isn't right though even with sfa timing.

Didn't the BA exhaust have a restrictive muffler somewhere? The rear could even be collapsing.

That's about what my ute made with knock control issues and the bugger all timing. At one point it was even down to 220rwkw's on the same dyno.

Get the current tune state compared to the final tune when it was first done. This should help you see what's going on.

Well swap that and your boost should come down, which Is a good idea on BA internals.

Just done some data logging!

Under full boost at 5185rpm intake temp was 54.3c coolant temp was 96.6c even with my high flow thermo stat.

Engine oil was 83.8c

It was 30c outside!

Dude you original tune was probably one of them on the dyno for 2 min jobs I read heaps about, I wouldn't be able to sleep at night doing that sh*t, my first tune was basically like that, and went great then was balls weeks after

Then I went to John West for my new tuna, and couldn't be happier...

Still on the first tune...... Only had a dyno run to see afrs & power!

I have emailed the tuner who done it and I'm awaiting he's reply. Hopefully if he respects he's work he will resolve my claims & put my mind at ease.

I would go to a new tuner but another $800 is a lot of money to write over the tunes I have!

He will sort it out. Call him tomoz.

I took mine back because it shoots flames after a long pull, yes runs a cat. He dropped everything to check it out thoroughly. I drive 3hrs each way to see him

Anyway the service there is top notch.

You say it drives the same, maybe second tune place has fudged the numbers and told a load of bs to get work?

Adam the BA knock sensor can be dulled right down. Left standard it will rape timing...mine calibrated don't retard more than 0.8 degrees during normal wot runs with no knock.

I agree though if he's losing timing from false knock and air and coolant temp retard then I'm not surprised with the big drop in power. Tested..... 1 degree advance makes 7rwkw's in my BA with no change in boost or AFR.
