That's generally the ford fix for the early Fg ones.

There is a difference, can't remember what it is.

is ford waranty covering them?

iv done one, on standard height, lowered and im starting to feel the same kinda knock...

let me no if you find a worth while solution

I can't remember what the company is called but there is a place that do on piece ones. They had a little stall at winternats at willowbank

I make replacement tailsafts for both the sedan and ute, from only premium quality components using bigger uni/joints, bigger centre bearing and chrome moly tube, these have held well over 700 rwhp.

Most tailshafts for the manuals will cost $2150 and the 6 speed auto FG's for example will be around $1700 as we re-use the front flange.

what actually craps itself on a lowered fg ute for eg?

the tailshaft or the bearings getting munched because the shaft is pushed in further due to lowering?

so mal wood....... changing to your bigger uni/joints, bigger centre bearing and chrome moly tube will be the best option?
