tasvalowna Member 27 Member For: 13y 7m 28d Posted 31/01/12 11:11 AM Share Posted 31/01/12 11:11 AM Gday , just thought I would run this one by you guys before I bother the dealer with it ..On a dual lane highway that I travel every day my ute has done the same thing twice on exactly the same corner 2 months apart.Travelling at 115 on smooth dry hotmix and on a left hand curve , the back end gives a big wobble and the traction control light flashes . Not sure which one happens first .But as both times it was exactly 7.45 am so im still half asleep and it scared the crap out of me the first time and wasnt much better the second..any ideas??ben Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Could just be that 115km/h is too fast for that particular combination of curve, superelevation and road surface... Try the same corner but maybe 105km/h? nitro xr6 turbo Banned 185 Member For: 13y 1m 26d Gender: Male Location: perth wa Posted 31/01/12 10:01 PM Share Posted 31/01/12 10:01 PM no dont turn the t/c of. that's not whats causing the problem, its just trying to corect it. if you have a fg it will have stability control which wont let you spin out if you lose traction in a big way. if its a ba/f (which I dont think have esp???) then turn it of if you like, but if its a fg the esp might be the only thing that's stoping you spinning out. tc senses if any wheel is traveling faster than the others and will apply brakes or limit engine power. check to make sure all youre tyres are the same size and all sitting at the same pressure, as that can confuse the system. but seriously esp could be the only thing between you and the tree, if you have it leave it on!!!!!
