I spoke to Ford service at my local dealer and they will do a rear cradle alignment for $250 odd(didn't write it down so approx.). There are pins that go thru holes in the cradle into holes in the chassis to align it but they told me they will need to part drop the cradle to do this. I may look at this next service. But now not sure if it was like this before the cradle came out and I could be spending money to be exactly were it is now.

The workshop that did the work are positive they aligned it correctly and have done dozens of bushes on these Fords rear ends without any problems. Just tolerence in the FG they say???

When I did mine I marked it but then actually aligned the cradle holes with the chassis holes which was slightly different. Alignment came up perfect and cant say there is a noticable difference left to right. Will have to measure to see if there is a difference

I took my car for a wheel alignment a month or so ago and was told that my diff cradle is bent as one of my wheels sticks out further than the other. After reading this maybe not. So where is a good place to have it done properly where they actually know what they are doing without having to tell them how to do they're jobs?

I would have thought something like this would be common knoweledge to those who specialise in the field.

Ford dealer, they do loads of diff bushes under warrenty, would also have the correct alignment jigs. As they do so many price might not be so bad. Could also try Fulcrum as you are in QLD they do lots of Super pro gear including the diff bushes so should have great knowledge.

I called a my local dealer a little time back and they quoted me around $270. Bit high I think but they told me they need to partly drop the cradle to do it properly. Not sure how accurate this is, I still say ring Fulcrum for a quote to get an idea before you call Ford. Even try another suspension shop close by, surely as it it such a common repair on these Fords to do the bushes there are plenty of places that have the experience.
