:stupid:

I still think the biggest failing here is that Jack wasn't told this until now. That should definitely be something your told before you agree to the trans rebuild.

Ratter contributed this to the thread over on AFF...

'The ZF data and engine data are in the same file, no tuner can read what is
already in the car if another tuner has loaded their tune into it.'

That is why the engine tune changes. Simply because it has to.

Not up at Heathcote today. The last couple of times I've been to Heathcote the track hasn't been prepped very well and I've struggled madly for traction.

I think everyones missing the point...

Example.. if you were an engine builder and your customer was having that motor tuned at say..ping-tune.. would you warrant it???

Same goes for the trans. Warranty is pretty much non existant in the performance industry. The fact that warranty is offered is a huge plus. The fact that there are strings attatched is fully understandable.

Whats the saying that gets thrown about on here ? "You play you pay"...?

Nothings bullet proof or indestructable..even supa dupa input shafts...

Personally id want the person who built the box of motor to tune it..that way its on their head if it doesnt perform as promised.. no ifs..buts..or excuses..

Cheers

Jimmy,

Very valid points you make, but Nizpro are stating that there billet shaft is a market leader, to which I don't doubt, but don't warrant it unless they tune it, which means they need to do the engine tune as well since one tune is part of the other.

The thread on AFF is also steering guys away from there stg 1 shaft so they never need worry about breaking the input again but again give no warranty.

So do us interstates avoid using this shaft now?

Sorry if I am taking away from the thread Jack but this has really struck a nerve as I was planning on buying this shaft.

I get what your saying george... But it just comes down to its better than nothing. Its a tough call that's for sure and I can see why theres two side to the arguement.

Short and sweet.... if for instance ping tune do the job..fit and tune the box.. U-beaut input shaft departs company.

Guess who gets the finger pointed at?? Nizpro.... The masses wont look at the tuner but the part that has failed.

Reputations can be severley damaged through no fault of their own.

Id still buy one if I was in the market because they have been proven more than any other..so far...

But whatever the outcome.. I think Jack has some happy days ahead !!!!!

Problem being that they need to redo the engine tune aswell, so same situation if the engine departs company whose at fault?
