Coilovers Or New Springs And Shocks+ Sway Bars ?

Kings and Bilsteins. Reason is they are a true monotube rebuildable shock of high quality.

Tein Coilovers with the heavier sport spring rates if you will be tracking the car regularly.

I didn't find anything that suited my requirements on the market for street and track so I got a custom job from East Coast Suspension in Sydney.

In the winter months when I track the car, I have 650lb motorsport springs in the front with revalved Konis. Rear are 400-something Lovells with custom valved Konis to match the spring rate. These are great for the track and keep the pig of a car settled but aren't too firm that they can't be used on the freeway as a daily.

Rest of the year, I just put the stock ford springs back in.

Sway Bar is the biggest that fits at the front (but solid not hollow like the stock item). Rear is the usual adjustable Whiteline.

Everyone will just say what they have is the best, you really need people that have done both and can comment on the differences.

The blisten/king combos about 1250+ install what are coilovers?

pedders are around 2000-2200 installed, plus around 450 for camber kits if you need them. might be cheaper on a b series.

We have Tein (heavy springs) in a BF F6 and kings and koni's in a BA F6 with whiteline 27 + 22 swaybars. I prefer the BA, the BF is a little firm on the street, but we have the EDFC to soften the ride a little. Its a big choice. What works really well at the track wont be the nicest on the street.

I liked the idea of doing coilovers but can't justify them. Pretty sure I'll go the bilsteins and SL SSL King combo. The main thing is to work out your own needs mate.

I think that's what he's trying to do with this thread mate. You do know that spring combo is the same if not higher then standard..

Not according the Kings Dillz and they're fitting them at their factory. From memory, 350 centre to guard and I'm currently around 370 depending on fuel load. If they don't end up at that, they'll be changing them.

Unless they've change them, I got SSL on the front and it's hardly noticeable. SSSL on the back dropped a bit so I assume SSL will be stock height. As long as you don't have to pay two installing fee's should be all good.

IMO, a quality spring/shock combo will out-perform a cheap coilover setup any day, so if I was to go for coilovers I would not settle for anything less than Teins. As I couldn't afford Teins at the time when I got my suspension done, I opted for the kings/bilsteins combo.

IMO it drives nicer than standard on the street, definitely not too firm, unless you're driving on crappy roads a lot.
