hey guys, I have had my BA MK2 xr6 turbo for a few months now and shes beautiful :) ill never go back to holden! EVER!

but from day one ive had issues when hitting boost, my car makes a BRRRRRR or splatter / choaking noise and it gives me the sh*ts! cuts out boost and you go no where :(

ive put new plugs gapped them, had scan tools to check the coils all is good, put new intank walbro gss340 fuel pumps flows 255lph and still makes this brrr and cuts thru boost! what is it??? fuel injectors???

mind you im running a capa flash tune that's around 11psi.... but when I run my stock standard factory tune it runs fine no cutting or brrr noises! so im guessing its injectors....help please :D thanks :)

Have you got anyone you can swap coils with. Sounds very much like coils to me, mine did the same thing a few weeks back, I took the coils out and looked over them all and physically they were perfect. I bit the bullet and bought a new genuine set from ford and changed them over anyway and problems fixed..

hmmmm I might but I doubt they will let me rip theres out haha, but I would think the coils would show up on the scan tool?? if I give it to her thru the gears on the flash tune then stop the engine somtimes shakes and before it has stalled.... but stock tune I can give it to her as much as I like... I thought it sounds more fuel related??

Does the engine run rough after you give it a squirt up high in the rev range? That could be a valve spring issue..

mate to be honest I have no idea, I bought the xcal 1 the first flash tune in the black box, bought it seconds hand and sent it back to capa to unlock and lock to my processer code, they asked me to send the list of mods on my car aswell and yeah they sent me back a tune that shows around 11psi on my boost guage...

generic tunes aren't real good to use, better off taking it to a tuner and getting it looked over properly and to check the AFR's.

AFR's?

yeah I was going to get it dyno testest to diognose the problem.. and then just get a tune straight to the ecu...

but I still think its the fuel injectors..

AFR = air fuel ratio, the xcal1 is no longer able to be used by tuners,so you either can buy an Xcal3 and have 3 tunes on it or get a VCM tune.Good luck with it and let us know the outcome.
