Going off what they originally told you of a December delivery that makes sense, but the fact that they said it was delayed and it's bascially Feb... bit rude imo

Need numbers to look up individual cases guys.

Those that ordered in December need to appreciate that normally it is a few weeks between ordering and the car being built, and we shut down from the second week of December through to to 10th of January.

With my limited knowledge of the ordering system prior to allocation I'd guess that anyone that ordered after mid November could not expect their car to be built before mid January at best. Add to that the fact that last week was a 2 day week due to Chinese New Year and Australia Day, and all of a sudden your normal 6 week wait puts you into Feb before its even entered my shop, let alone put on a truck and sent out to your dealer.

Who orders a car in December anyway, terrible idea. Its like a month of Fridays

Got an email back from the dealer today. My ute has been completed,...... but there is a software issue that only affets vehicles with a manual transmission and the satellite navigation system . They are testing the softwafe update for the sat nav in the first week of February, and if all good will start updating made cars from the 13th of Feb. Then they'll start shipping them out to the dealerships after that.

I just hope that the software update works first time and there are no further delays.

f*ck me!

Mid feb from November order date !

While I was waiting for my new ute, I was told in Dec there was a delay in the manual MKII's.

Maybe its still the same thing.

The thing that pissed me was that they kept changing the delivery date every two weeks.

I expected Ford to have sold enough cars to be able to predict how long it takes to build and deliver a car.

Imagine if Caterpillar did that on a dump truck!

Just been to the dealership.....

Release date from the factory has now apparently been pushed back to the 3rd of March.

Gettin pretty sick of this.

Yet you still wait...

I can't buy a car that isnt at the dealer. I've tried. Was told it would be many many months. But only found out after they called me to confirm my order a month later ( thought it was a call to get the car!) I decided from then on to shop around until I

Find the exact car I want at a dealer.

Depends. Is it stock standard or have you added options? Do you live in Victoria or Western Australia? Plus you can get delays on the production line for whatever. I'd say as long as its a month or less it's OK.
