Can an aftermarket blow off on the XR6T be changed to atmosphere rather than going back into the chamber? If so how do you block off gthe existing opening for the factory blow off? :smilielol:

But way with kn filter and extra boost you get all the blow off noise you need with out making it sound cheap and ricy.

<_< Can you adjust the boost without putting in a chip? ie the old way with a T peice

I beleive you can only get maybe 1 psi boost increase if you are lucky with this idea.

I personally don't mind em, but I dunno on the T. I think it's a classier car than some ricemobiles. Might make you sound like a tryhard.

Also, note that in NSW they are ILLEGAL to vent to the atmosphere. EPA rules. Check with your local states bout this.

Andrew

I think it's illegal in all states. :innocent:

you've already got the nice good quality car, so don't go putting a cheap BOV on it, spend a little extra and try something like a GFB (Go Fast Bits) Stealth FX. You can order them to suit the XR6Turbo, straight bolt in.

They plumb back to the chamber, but can't vent to atmosphere. Also I tried the t-piece bleed valve, didn't make any difference.

I came here expecting to see Ken remarking about his blow-off valve, it gets released to the atmosphere as does mine, regrettably for my work colleages.
