can not see enough of the fins etc to give an accurate answer.

The oil level would have to be very very low for it to cause the light to come on with normal driving.

The dipstick only shows approx the last 2 litres of approx 6.5 ltrs on oil.

you need to put a master gauge on the engine and check oil pressure, if it is down there could be a lot of possible causes.

Well regardless ill definately changing the oil line to the earls braided line, just hope I didnt stuff the motor.

Don't get the kit with the clear coated braided line and crimped fittings, ask for the kit with the screw on type fittings and no covering over the stainless line.

With a flicker of the oil light you might have an oil pump that is giving up or bypass oil when it shouldnt. But it may be doing it right around the threshold of the light hence not getting a steady light, this would however starve more than just the turbo of oil but the turbo is probably the first thing to just give up.

You should get it towed somewhere for a real good check up.

no not the good one although you may not have any dramas, but we have seen possibly 7 or 8 of those that leak internally into the plastic coating sleeve
