It's legal to have a massive intercooler as long as you don't have a pod or vise versa, The Nizpro is EPA approved but not street legal if it has both then. Unless they got there pod and plenum engineered.

Should get away with a cat too as long as your exhaust remains under 90db at 3200rpm. Plumb back or blocked bov are fine and injectors are hidden enough to go unnoticed. With this set up you could probably only get pinged for actual co2 emmissions (ya never know maybe you would pass that too) and the chances of them getting you for that on the street are pretty slim if you pass everything else an look like you've put effort in to do so. You'd have to be really unlucky.

As long as people understand, the rules and regs we are discussing only apply to the NAZI Police state of Victoria. Here is WA we do almost what ever we want.

Good point Arron.

My bro's VW R36 was not pulled over once in Tas, but has been pulled over (apparently for no reason) about 5 times in Melb.....always passed fine, but your point seems to be true!

I usually drive like a pussy, so I drove from Greenmount to Balcatta backstreets (WA) like a pussy and one street from my destination I am thinking "there are no cops around on this backstreet" so I gun it just after going over a speedhump (lucky didn't break traction) and the cops came out of no-where and stopped me within 100m.

Got a Canary and didn't argue with the cop. He told me his mum lives in the area and doesn't like the noise. Neither do I but I thought its Balcatta and you do what the Romans do when in Rome.

The moral is if you do the right thing and keep it to the track you shouldn't worry about a Canary. If you hoon then expect to get the book thrown at you.

Your first canary??

I've had half a dozen, all while just putting along.

And weapon Xr, mine scraped in by half a Db with centre muffler Out for noise, so I doubt it. And then theirs the xforce cat. For $100 throw the stock system on.

I was driving home from work about three weeks ago. Doing 60 in a 60 zone with cruise control on. Drove past a cop car going the opposite way so I watched him in my review mirror. As soon as the traffic was clear he put the lights on and came chasing after me after I had done nothing wrong.

So naturally I did I sneaky little runner and went back home.

Goes to show that even if you try to do the right thing and abide by the law they will still pick on you for driving a modified car.

Yep, came off the freeway and was just putting along... Cop was going opposite direction, does a uturn and starts following me.. Follows me for about 5 mins, then turns off.. Gets you worried as hell, but I wouldn't call my car cop bait, its reasonably lowered, don't drive around with bald tyres, only have the middle muff removed and its usually clean, so just by looking at it theres not much they can pick at..

If and when they do come up from behind, they have number plate recognition, if your record is good they leave you alone. If your record is like Henz with all the canarys, every chance they will pull you over. They have full record on everyone.
