Better solution, crush all POS VK and VL commos full stop (including all parts that exist) :focus:

ps: Have the Targa cars in town for the weekend, saw a few today - with all this talk about excess noise/emissions etc, these guys are so lucky to roll through in SUPER loud racing machines and not have a care in the world!! Lucky for some.....

EDIT: Paullie, you beat me to it......

there is not a cut off point to what is classed as an old car to say whether it needs emission stuff or not, emission levels have been adjusted for a long time, my old fairlane just has to have a pcv valve and meet a certain co2 at idle to be legal emission wise,I think it was approx 76 that charcoal canisters became a legal requirement, 86 was the start of leaded fuel so a cat was needed, there has been plenty of other things that have been introduced, but this was just to give an idea.

Again (might be wrong!) my understanding has always been that as long as you keep it to the level it was when it was released, all good.

BUT most states have Leg'n that says you cannot remove cats etc under any circumstances regardless of vehicle age? Eg: if it didnt have a cat, fine to drive, if it had one (regardless of age) not OK to take it off, and will be unroadworthy?
