Well I got my motor about mid november,I sure they got a picture of it,because they thought it was pretty ordinary, plus they were going to show me,but I went down the day it arrived. When they found the loose bolts, they thought they should start documenting the events.

even the best products/companys have there moments but hopefully they learn from there mistakes whateva they might of been

but for the coin and there product being top of the line u would hope none of this happens with the qc that should go into it not to mention does atomic run each and every donk on a engine dyno to run in or at least test there product?

I love my atomic engine . . . but I have heard some stories that others have had. Brad does stand by his products and is a top bloke.

Loose bolts?? Sounds like it was going to be a problem once the loose bolts were found. And pinching bits off an engine that was already paid for and kept for a customer?? that's a bit sh*t too imo. My BA had a similar concern when my valve springs were failing. Would get to 4800rpm and lose 100kw.

Most Ford dealers have probably R nd R more engines than any tune shop I know,so wouldnt think they would of/could of farked anything up. May not hurt to ask if they tightened the cam caps to correct torque though.. One would expect better from such a known company like Atomic, but hopefully its all soughted soon.

Thanks Dillz,

that's what this forumns about passing on knowledge & info to each other so we can make the right choices.I have no problems with brad before this happened, but $14,000.00 worth of motor, that's not cheap.I hope brad, sorts this out quickly, puts in place a QA system,so this dosen't happen again,to anyone else, its really a kick in the guts,we know how passionate we are about our cars,I just want to get back in the phoon, its been about 3 months since the car came to grieve & at the earliest another month,I think.

If I get a answer from brad soon.

We bought a car with an engine built from another well know tuner ( engine builder ETC). Had a few issues with bits breaking and parts failing. BUT there is good and bad stories about most performance shops. I hope you get your issues sorted out quickly. Car laying over at 4800rpm could be many things.
