I'd love to mate . . . I have your old engine

lol yeah mate brand new and had oil leaks from rear main and head gasket from first fire up, read my old build thread.. spend that much on a new motor and comes with leaks I was not happy at all... the replacment motor I put back in my typhoon with my old f6 bottom end gear that he built also had a major leak from the sump area.. quality control lacks abit.. he fixed it before he sent it out to you and you have not had any problems with it...

he has good parts but will never get a motor from him again will just get rebuild kit and get some one else to assemble..

Mate sorry to hear about the engine

I dont have an atomic engine but I would say 99% of brads engine would work fine

U r just in the 1% where something go's wrong and when performance is involed problems r bound to come up every now n then

I hope its a small problem for u n the car is on the dyno soon.

Didn't someone recently post that they had issues with their atomic motor and stage 4 cams or something? They had to change the cams back to stage 3 for it to work past a certain RPM.. Maybe I read that somewhere else..

that could be a tuning issue not nessacerily a Atomics workmanship....

turbotrana, do you think Atomics mechanics went to year 11, or 12 instead of year 10?? Dont think so. I am not a big fan of brand dealerships, but you cant lumber all Ford, or Expensive Daewoo mechanics into a basket for " hopeless mechanics"

The bloke who starts up a performance workshop would have done his time maybe at a dealership, and then decided to have a go on his own. Good on him, but that doesnt make him any better of a mechanic than one still working in a dealership.

This Brad bloke maybe a great mechanic, but unless he builds every engine himself, he is open to problems like any workshop that employs people.

Nasty, I am sure that Atomic will make sure your engine is spot on when you get it back. As previously stated could be a number of issues, and no doubt will be something simple. That said when one buys a $14000 engine you should NEVER have issues as far as I'm concerned. Cheers

bolts on the valve springs??? I dont see how a motor cutting out can be a engine problem?? I would dare say something has gone through the motor to close the plugs, brad doesnt use different length rods or anything and all his pistons are the same so dont really think its your bottom end that's the drama.

+1 sounds like a installation fault who fitted motor originally? cant be bothered reading to find out... Edited by RIP_HSV

Yes they say they run it,but I dont know for how long. They send up oil for you to put in,when the motor has been installed.I wonder how, or maybe you wouldn't hear the loose bolts in the head, weren't picked up.I will be ringing brad friday or monday to find out wether he has looked at it yet.If not I think I might crack, its just draging on & no explernations.
