Paulie, was the prices for F6, or just FG XR6T short, and long.

Interested on the long, as the one I bought was the last one in stock(at the time)

In regards to the short FG F6 motor, do some shopping around. I ordered mine today through Ford...not Bayford either but just make sure that it is a genuine F6 short. I got mine for $1900.....pick it up on Friday! And yes, it is a brand spankers FPV F6 short!

Ah, yes, mine was "supposed" to be a BA/BF F6 long, but I believe it consists of an FG short motor with BA/BF add ons.

I think Ford are just building longs as needed, using parts out of FG stock.

So it would seem like I was being spun a bit of crap about needing to own an FPV to get FPV parts through Ford! All good then, and even at $2950 I think that's still pretty good value.

Yeah usually it's required by the dealer to obtain a vin number before selling any fpv parts. Some just don't enforce it.

Johno, I'd say ford no longer stock the bf f6 engines so they gave you fg xr6 as they are the same internals.

I do believe that some parts for an FPV do need a VIN number, but dont know much more than that.

Maybe in my case it helped that I know the owner of the dealership :sungum:

and everyone who works there.

Mine is definately an F6 engine. Came up on the parts list as BA/BF F6 Typhoon long.

But didnt fit without modifying RH engine mount bracket, which needs to be done to fit FG motor in BA/BF. Also has 2 dipstick holes.
