I also have a husky as a puppy and, well, she would have a better life if she had a back of a ute to travel in. but, if a ute is much slower or worse off than a sedan, well, its a factorim after a BF unless a BA 6 manual as I've taken a lot of advice from people. and I would only get a 6 speed after hearing much advice. im not to sure if the quickshift in the ZF box is a gimmick or a really helpful feature, but im sure you guys could tell me Any help and advice would be soo muchly appreciated.Glen

All you get here is other peoples preferences.
Henz Tampon inserted, Auto Acquired, next purchase a new handbag Donating Members 9,946 Member For: 16y 7m 23d Gender: Male Location: Vic Posted 22/01/12 03:58 AM Share Posted 22/01/12 03:58 AM The zf is ok I guess, but the manual sh*ts all over it for fun factor and keeping you entertaine. The zf will get boring, a manual is fun every drive. Utes + manual, stock was quicker than zf sedan and Utes from lights and rolling, on the street not strip. Well mine was anyway, bf2 vs bf2 as well. Utes + manual with power also means harder to get traction. You can make them a quick car, but with big power the zf will go quicker. Easier to feather your throttle and not shunting the driveline every shift at WOT.

Read up on those, take the info on board and then test drive both, its really a personal thing. As for sedan or ute, that's really up to you as they both have completely different purposes. If you want a decent and fast manual shift then dont buy a Falcon. Each to their own I guess. If a daily car driving on mostly traffic id pick ZF, if more a "fun" car/modified etc to just enjoy, then manual definately. glenskates1 Member 20 Member For: 12y 11m 30d Posted 22/01/12 07:08 AM Author Share Posted 22/01/12 07:08 AM will a ZF lose traction with stockish power, maybe stock with boost and tune? that could keep me entertained along with the quick shift, if not, may have to go manual, which is the reason I converted my silvia from auto to manual, no power and couldnt do anything fun with it. But if sedan vs ute just comes down to preference, then I'll probably go a ute, probably less weight on the driveline too?

Do you do alot of stop start driving? I had a ZF and now a Manual and never look back now.
Spool Member 28 Member For: 21y 2m 4d Posted 22/01/12 07:38 AM Share Posted 22/01/12 07:38 AM I also have been having a massive dilema when it comes to manual vs atuo, and have done a lot of research of peoples opinions on the matter, and the bottom line is that the auto makes for better car, better performance, smoother, easier to drive, its basically better in everyway, except one which is FUN and pleasure to drive. So it depends how much you value that. I personally do a lot because its the main reason I want a car like this, so after being convinced of wanting an auto now I am set on a manual.
