My brother has a stock 07 4sp Auto Xt rear drive Territory that hed like to convert to Turbo/6speed auto. Does anyone know what sort of wiring loom issues are involved if indeed there are any? Can get the Engine & box for 3 K so the temptation would definately be there if there arent a miriad of changes involved. Think with the 4.11 diff gears it might be a bit of fun.

Yeah be real fun with an un useable 1st gear good for about 40km/h

With a 2.73 diff the ZF is only good for about 64km/h @ 6000rpm aprox... With 4.11's it'd be as bad as my old V6 rodeo

It'd probably be a million times easier to keep it 4spd

Is he getting the engine and gearbox off the same car? That would probably be the easiest way, should come will all looms and computer.

Don't forget Turbo Territory's are pretty cheap these days, make sure you do the sums and see if it's gonna be easier and cheaper to just upgrade to one instead. Then you have AWD too.

Dont the rear drive territories have a 3.73.1 final drive, the AWD's have 4.10.1 both front and rear and are non LSD.

The first gear in my F6X I just bought goes like stink with nearly 300rwkw. Makes people more alert seeing a barge arse whooping them...

are you sure? Im sure the falcs are 3:46... BJC.. I think youre right... my mate with his TT said the final drives are 4:10... maybe the rear drives are a tad taller since theres a little less weight... Ill look under the car today & try to find the tag. Also BJ... who tuned your tank... my mates was done @ Nispro with 285kw @ all 4's... the best sleeper.

AWD are 4:10.1 front and back and the Max Ellery's repair manual I have mentions rear drive models as 3.73 from 2004-07 but not whether it was N/A or the Turbo model?

Dave Sheehy from CPV in Mackay tuned it prior to me buying it. I know Dave and spoke with him before buying it to get his opinions on the car I was buying and what they are like once tuned and pretty much what he said was all positive

(balljoints are a known prob though). The previous owner was excellent when I bought it to as there was a clunk when stopping and the gearbox going into 1st that he said all the people that looked at it couldn't find the problem! I guessed it might have been the bushes and it was the front diff bush that shagged itself and needs replacing so I texted the previous owner when I was about to change the rego over and he was happy to pay for it as both Ford and the mechanic that did the road worthy missed it in there so called inspections... He said he sold it under the impression that everything was A1 and that's how he wanted it so there are good people on this planet afterall. He does earn a fair packet though for a living and bought the missus a 2006 porsche cayenne that he drives, lol.

I love the car and doubt I'll get rid of it until my back is better which will be never so unless ford make another that's this impressive I'll stick with the F6X until its a rusted shell...
