I have used numerous mp3 players, A 3gs, A nokia N8/N95 and Now my SG2 and they all whine

Ciaran, you realise your N8 has an Fm transmitter dont you? Save your $'s set that up and tune the ICC too it

I think I'd be happy with music I like though instead of being completely unable to play them (unless I make plenty of 17 track CD's which is annoying as hell)

EDIT: I actually forgot about that FM transmitter.

I've bought it now :( All good, also have an MP3 player that I'll use with it

Just installed the boosted aux kit from ASL Automedia in my BA. Works a charm. Volume is the exact same as the CD volume. And there is also adjustable gain on the little amp to match it if needed. Good sound quality. Pretty close to CD quality except loses out some bass just a tiny bit. But Could correct that with the audio settings on the ICC or maybe the EQ on my ipod.

Just tried installing my booster kit then, but how the hell do you feed the remaining cables through to the tissue box? Can't seem to get it through the gaps and not sure if there is an easier way without removing the ICC

Also, the double sided tape they gave me was sheet. Even after cleaning the spot it was going to stick on, placed it there, held it for about 20s then it fell straight off.

Ended up using a cable tie to one of the beams behind the ICC

you only need to remove the tissus hoder

(hint: a metal coathanger or a bit of filler rod , fencing wire is your friend)

feed it through tape up the the connector to it and pull it back though

mines cable tied also

I just removed the tissue box section and used a torch so I could see easier and fed it through. There isn't much room but its not too hard as the cable are relatively stiff.

I used cable ties for mine too. Hows your sound quality?

Cheers for the tips.

Haven't tried the sound out yet, probably should have before I wired it all through haha.

Going to use the coathanger trick now (or once the daughter settles down) so I can put my interior back together then will let you know.

Coat hanger worked a treat and the sound seems pretty decent.

At first I just turned the ignition on but didnt start the car, and it sounded like there was a lot of interference (this was before anything was playing) but once the music started it was pretty clear.
