For new BA’s in 2003 I would have said we had 170 to 205 rwkw, manuals reading higher, based on our dyno days.

DD dynos used Shoot6 in those days, before shoot6f existed.

At those power levels there is around 1-2% difference between hub dyno using DIN correction and dd shoot6. If you use SAE on a hub dyno it will read a lot higher (Tunehouse use DIN). MRT have used SAE in the past.

Mate auto or manual ? , You have been here from near the beginning ( over 8 years v your 1) Stock auto BA 1's have been historically dynoed from anywhere as low as 165 rwkw to a "freak" around 200 rwkw Manuals obviously higher , I've used 7 different tuners across 3 states who will agree with me. Owned 3 modded I6Ts and was involved in upgrades right from the get go Your speaking sh*t

I havent argued that a BA couldnt dyno 165rwkw... what I would argue that any fit and 100% BA should make more than that. It is irrelevant what BAs are dynoing if they are not new.

Please explain then why a 240-250kw at fly car has only 165rwkw then Buf-Phoon considering a 20% loss is about average - im intrigued on why there is a 40% loss at drivetrain that applies just for the BA models (not BF discounting ZF). If you can substantiate that I am happy to stand corrected, otherwise you might be talking excrement......ha ha.

I'm not weighing in the argument.. But I'm just saying IMO 20% loss on a drive train on average seems really low.. I've always considered 30-35% to be about right..

Just my two bobs.. But every car is different.. Every Dyno is different.. Every Dyno operator is different..

You mean they're not all the same guy?!

I'm getting my car tuned Tomorrow by XFT, it's stock at the moment so I'll see what the before tune figures read.

Then getting I.d 1000's and an F6 CAI so we'll see what it gets with minor additions

Although it is a BF, but that shouldn't make too much difference should it?

A 100 cell cat and K&N filter would be a good idea too at that level.

Cats are between 150 and 300 plus say 100 to install and filters about 90. Definitely worth it for the gains you'll get imo.
