Yip sure is. So take off about 15-20%

Yip sure is. So take off about 15-20%

Not true 15-20% at low power levels, and not true against dd shoot 6.

15-20% may be true against dd 6f at >400rwkw, but there have been 2 variants of 6f, so you always need to be careful.

Not to mention it's easy to fudge dd figures.

The only real dyno figures really worth looking at are the individual runs of a car before and after mods on the same dyno.

Mph down the quarter is a good judge. Anything else is fodder for argument.

Cats are between 150 and 300 plus say 100 to install and filters about 90. Definitely worth it for the gains you'll get imo.

Anyone know somewhere in Perth where I could get one at this price? The one I've been quoted is quite a bit higher.

Also, where I can get a filter as they have none in stock?

I havent argued that a BA couldnt dyno 165rwkw... what I would argue that any fit and 100% BA should make more than that. It is irrelevant what BAs are dynoing if they are not new.

Please explain then why a 240-250kw at fly car has only 165rwkw then Buf-Phoon considering a 20% loss is about average - im intrigued on why there is a 40% loss at drivetrain that applies just for the BA models (not BF discounting ZF). If you can substantiate that I am happy to stand corrected, otherwise you might be talking excrement......ha ha.

Fair point early BA's were running different maps to BFs etc, only posting what I have seen over 8+ years on

the forum they can't all be wrong' 40% drive line loss will see you in the low to mid 140 rwkw , 20% apprx 190

so the debate continues it seems. also noted is that older BA's will Dyno higher than when new. so age and Ks also come into play.

As Brian says , put all the variables together, different results on different dynos then and now

Go gear racing in osi park or maybe CMP for the filter. Get Nick next to Simon to fit your cat. Maybe throw in a walbro 294 fuel pump as well. Alll this should see you in the low 300s Say 300 - 310
