Yoko A31A here. Fantastic on a dead flat road and pretty good in the wet however if there is any small amount of corrigation on the road or surface change, wet or dry they tram track really bad. It be lucky to get 20k out of them also

Ill be going back to the KU31's next time round

Federal 595 super steel's 255/40/17 on the stockers, wouldn't go this big on them again, tire roll on the rim causing squirm when I open up on a good surface. Bad tire roar, fairly resistant to aquaplaning but the compound isn't good for wet roads. At $140 a corner they are ok value though.

I used Maxxis MAZ's with stock wheels were good value for money, got plenty of km's out of them and cost $180 a tyre (245 40 17's) Now using Kumho KU31's good in wet and dry but last set only lasted approx 5000km's, they are soft and smoke up on the dyno :)

I dream of paying for 17" or 18"'s ..... 20's are like more than double for the same tyre

Dunno if this has been posted yet. The link is a 2011 performance trye comparison.

I blew out a KU31 today. Left front. Pissing rain and no spare. Well a useless spare saver that does nto fit over the brakes.

I never had a problem with scrub when I had as much neg camber on as I could get on the front...bout 1.9.

Put it all back to std and chewed out the inside, bout 1cm in completely till it blew. Fark me it pulled harder than a school boy when it blew.

The only 245x19x35 the local had was bloody Nexen 8000's. He had me oever a barrel, but I was ok with $400 fitted... on the spot ..oh well.

Grip is poor to av in the wet, but fark they are a lot quiter than the K31's.

Anywho the link http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Article/2011-Auto-Zeitung-Max-Performance-Tyre-Test.htm

Yeah I know. Was working, Friday, no spare and needed to get the day done. And I don't live near a city. TBH I though two tryes and fitting was ok for that price here. Even though I didn't really have a choice. The std rims don't go over the brakes either.

Being Nexens I am sure they wont last that long.

Has anyone run both the 595 Evos and KU31s? The kuhmos are nearlly $50 cheaper a corner and should last longer if the ratings are correct. I will be running 275 30 19 and 245 35 19. Thoughts?

I'd go Kuhmo...

Both get noisy eventually... But Kuhmo better $ for $...
