Hello fello members,

I was hoping someone can help me out with a BMW tuning expert / mechanic in Brisbane.

My old man and I are looking to the following:

  • E90 M3 - tune and exhaust. Any ideas on what we can expect?
  • E39 M5 - rebuild and strengthen S62 engine (I believe this can be extremely expensive and cost prohibitive), install supercharger, intercooler and tune.

Looking for people to share experiences and recommendations.

I understand this is a Ford turbo forum, but after many hours on google, I have come up with virtually nothing.

All help is appreciated.

Regards,

Luke

Damn right there!

I have been googling my backside off and can find heaps of stuff in Europe and the USA but not in Australia.

Gotta keep trying as I reckon a charged and cooled E39 M5 would be the ducks.

Cheers Mika.

I was aware of CV and the AMG.

I was hoping to find someone in Brissy, but I now realise that I may have to look interstate ie: Sydney or Melbourne.

Hey Mate,

Give Clinton Hocking a call from Profile Auto Sports 0438 355 880.. He has got contacts to accesses the German tuning files, not as simple as tuning ford,Expensive Daewoo jap etc.. as you would know... He will be able to sort out the tuning side of things for you... Couple of my friends are looking a getting their E63's done through him.

There are local shops that claim they tune German cars. However, most of these shops will just load generics tunes they have obtained.. A mate of mine took his Audi to a "well know" local German tuning shop and they didn't even have a Dyno.. The guy just loaded a file from his lap top into his car while we were there and said done that will be $2500 please....

Cheers

Ben

I had a mate where a similar situation occurred.

He has a Golf GTI and all he had to do was buy the bluefin superchip, plug into his car, send the results to the UK and based off what you've sent them, they send you back a "custom" tune.

Not done on the Dyno, but he hasn't had any issues with it and it's performing awesomely.

While on the subject of BMW, I was talking to a mature gentleman today and he informed me that BMW have been attempting for some time now to purchase the Barra 4.0 litre block from Ford, but they are refusing to sell it to BMW.Is there anyone out there that can confirm or deny these claims, Cheers
