And if I turn on the a/c it goes away so it goes away once we put load on the car hence why it idles fine in drive. I am taking it back to stock in the coming months and selling it but would like it sorted if possible.

"cracked coils" code would be good, haha!Gsd, yeh sounds similar to what mine was doing (except mine is a manual, had a funny miss most of the time at idle)...For your sake gsd, I hope it is the coils, not the cheapest of fixes, but easy and quick to fix.
Falky100 Donating Members 305 Member For: 13y 13d Gender: Male Posted 24/01/12 07:06 AM Author Share Posted 24/01/12 07:06 AM well. The performance mob told me he was 95% sure coils were the problem. He also says it was running good.BUT....Rarely when I pull up to lights for a period of time, or when I pull up in the driveway to let my car cool down. The revs drop about half a needle thickness or so and the car sits there and shakes. And all of a sudden the car will jump up 2 needle thicknesses and be idle normally...Also on one occasion when I pulled up in the driveway, the car would have little surging fits every minute or so.Now, dont get me wrong, after the coil packs, the car idles WAY better. Its just this last little hiccup I need to sort out now...My senses are still thinking its that dreaded non-genuine upstream o2 sensor. I havent checked to see if any codes have been logged yet. But when I get a minute il be going out and checking.John.P.s. Sorry to dissapoint you Dave in thinking my car is fixed! Im pissed aswell mate! In the 4-5km drive that I took the car on afterwards, the car seemed to idle alot smoother (time will tell, il give it a week).Anyway, I took a pic to show everyone the difference in the sensors. Genuine ford being on the right. And the non genuine "delphie" I think the brand is being on the left.Cheers, John.
