Someone mentioned in the other bonnet thread the bonnet lining is same part number for both xr6 & xr8 so who knows maybe it'd fit maybe it wouldn't.

Looks good anyway reckon I'll grab one once I've finished moving house, thanks for posting up how you went with it.

Generally aftermarket stuff is a real pain in the arse to fit, by law ( to avoid the copy right BS ) they are suppose to be 15% different to genuine parts. Can tell you from a panel beaters point of view that I would much rather put a genuine part on my car even though it costs a fair bit more it is a much much better fit and takes a quarter if the time to get right with out having to move guards and adjust EVERYTHING to get a OK fit, Its a shame that we spend so much on our motors and try and save a afew bucks on how it looks.

Cheers

My bonnet I'm pissed about!

From closing it there is now thumb dents in it!

Not happy at all and when I hit 100klm the bonnet is like a sheet of paper flapping around. The seller won't have a bar of it so it looks like off it

Goes and on comes a genuine one :(

I understand your point of view but no such hard work was done to mine maybe, I just got lucky minor bonnet adjustment was all that I needed hardly outside that of a genuine bonnet I was told fit and finish was the same as ford, besides the brand you wouldnt be able to pick it.

so after all that, buying an aftermarket bonnet is not worth it.
