Same stretch of road - pacific highway, went from Sydney to Ballina on a tank. Same conditions as before - one passenger, medium load in boot, cruise set to 4-5k over speed limit.that's awesome, I did the same trip and could only manage about 680-700 klms on a tank of 98 (Wife, 3 little ones and a full boot). 1600dave Donating Members 872 Member For: 14y 20d Posted 13/01/12 04:22 AM Share Posted 13/01/12 04:22 AM Its handy if using a gps over long trips, keep an eye on the elevation as sometimes your climbing without even really noticing it, makes quite a difference in my experience.I also downloaded an app on my phone to calc fuel used at the bowser.My odometer/speedo is pretty accurate too, within 1-2km/h compared to gps (even after fitting the 19's), probably as its ex police. Average would sit around 8.0L. Now is around 7.2-7.5LAlso my distance to empty estimates heaps more now. Used to fill up and it would read about 550-600km until empty.
