Strange, would have thought the GS would have pulled about 300 - 310rwkw stock?????

My GT absolutly stock pulled 334.3 rwkw both runs, will be interesting to see what it gets with the K7N filter and cat back exhaust before Simon does his magic on it!!!

Mine pulled 296rwkw then 304rwkw with the K&N, and managed the 12.81 on 296rwkw without any wrk done to it, the K&N gives them a little, catback gives a bit more but unfortunately where all the power is being held back is in the tuning...

believe me once it's tuned you won't know your car, such a massive difference, can't even compare to tuning an XR6T or F6...

Was referring to I've Ren in xr6t's and F6's when stock and then with a tune only, I felt that the GS had a much more noticeable inprovement in power torque and acceleration compared to the Turbo's... I found that the car became much more aggressive with just a tune compared to friends cars with only a tune done...

Could have probably worded that better Ben, sorry about that :-)

a 4l turbo with the normal add ons and tune will make more torque than a gs with similar...

That's correct panda, the turbos love the bolt ons.

Having said that if you did a tune ONLY on both a turbo and a coyote, the coyote would leave with more hp, and would probably be just as quick down the 1/4.

I've managed a flat 12 down the strip with only a tune and filter, and at the next test and tune I will not be leaving until I run an 11 :-)

Also on the weekend my car ran 517rwhp at RealDyno, then backed it up with another run over 500rwhp without a cooler, I'm yet to find any other Aussie made vehicle that can return such hp gains with a tune only as these can.

I'm just glad that the best ever Aussie built performance vehicles are powered by ford, and fall under the blue oval flag :-)

I've heard the same Ryno, was that run done with MT's??? As I said down the 1/4 a tune only FG f6 should do a high 11/ low 12 with a competent driver, and the coyote with a tune only can do the same. I know of a couple of coyotes getting 11.9's on street tyres and down around an 11.7 on MT's, I'm just saying how awesome it is to be able to run such incredible times with so little coin spent.

I don't plan on running MT's down the 1/4, I'm just going to head out and get the best possible time I can, with this setup should be an 11.9 or so, in full street trim.

It all comes down to the driver, both cars are proven 11 second vehicles with a tune only, try and find a hsv or chrystler that can do that :-D

They sound good and make HSV owners cry - until the S/C VF comes out anyway. Make good numbers but need around 100hp more than a T to pull the same 1/4 due to the flat torque curve. I've raced both a GS and tuned GT335 and chopped them both with 420rwhp. That said, they're a good thing and I'd have no problems buying one.
