hey guys, ive been doing lots of talking about getting a T and im finally heading to Brisbane in 3 and a half weeks (counting) to search for the best car for the best deal I can get. I've managed to up my budget to $22k changing hands. that's really about the max I can handle at the moment (got $1100 set aside for 20" wheels I must have)

basically for the longest time ive had my heart set on a BF2 which from the looks of carsales seems to be well within my price range now, with room so spare on extras. However im also seeing that 08/09 FG T's are tinkering on the $25k-$27k ranges. im partial to both cars looks wise, I do prefer the instruments in the FG (dig speedo, range, cruise etc.) but the centre console is better in the BF imo. anyway, with that budget is a BF with money left for extras a better go than stretching all my funds into an FG and having to leave it bog stock for 6mths or so?

I realise these are all opinions and I plan on test driving anything and everything that even remotely tickles my fancy. just interested to hear some of your feedback.

THANKS :)

Mick

EDIT: Mods I planned for BF are really basic stuff. Wheels/suspension, gauges, stereo, CAI.

Its a personal preference thing.

However, I will say if I was in your position, I would prefer to spend the $$$ on a good conditioned BF, rather then a High klm bad condition FG.
