Im looking for some feedback on what the members here would like as far as future events go....while we've had good success and rollups for our nightime deals....I feel that while it's a great bit of road....Mac Pass is starting to get a bit old....

Some ideas Ive had include.....

Track days.....?

Wakefield park has "Speed off the Street" days during the week and select weekends.....however, while these events are heaps of fun.....they have been difficult to organise in the past due to many jumping on the bandwagon with confirmations only to wimp out for various reasons when crunch time comes around.

Advanced driver courses......?

Ian Luff and another mob at Eastern Creek run advanced driving courses that can improve "anybody's" skill level.....but we would need definite numbers...not "maybes" to make these days work.....

When you have to pay a deposit on the two suggestions above, its makes life very dfficult when those who do turn up find they have to pay extra to cover for those who dont bother fronting up.

Daytime cruises.....?

I have had a (observation run) daytime cruise in mind for sometime now.....but when I asked for expressions of interest some time ago, there didn't seem to be much interest?

I feel that this would have a lot of appeal to those who'd like to bring their missus and kids out for a cruise since it isn't really a "spirited" style deal.....basically consisting of driving a set course and answering questions along the way to a destination (Symbio Zoo at Helensburgh or Woronora Dam) for a BBQ?....that would have some appeal to everybody.

I'd really like to know your thoughts on this stuff guys.....and depending on interest shown, we can get more events happening..... :dontknow:

Obs run are awesome.

Some people on here have families/partners, with or without kids, and getting everyone involved in a cruise is a great way to spend a day.

Fanging the *beep* outta Mac pass is getting old...... you can only go up n down so many times. I know if I took Jade along to a Mac pass run she would never come on a cruise again.....Obs run however, I reckon she'd love it. Happy wife, happy life

Wakefield and some track days would be cool!

So would some day time family days.

Also I feel that we should have at least 2 crusies per month one night time spirited cruise and one day time one sedate/family welcome one.

Also a monthly catch up would be good, harry's, botany boat ramp (possible photo night attached to this one) etc... with I guess the possiblity for a short curise after.

Reg we do have to get something happening as it just seems like the last 6 months have been pretty balls in the NSW cruise dept!

Count me in for a track day/advanced driver course!! :3gears:

I especially like the idea of a regular catch up at least once a month...photo shoots are cool too.

I would love some day time cruises as even though I'm san's a significant other or family here, I would love to get out and see more of NSW, having only moved here 16 months ago. The night time ones are fun though...can 'let loose' a little more.

Would be great to do trackdays and advanced driver training with Luffy but the confirmations and deposits would be a Must option, Also I think a once a month meet up at Harry's is a great idea JC807!!!. HER-XRT has a good suggestion with photonights maybe one of the guys from VIC like Tangcla , Worm and Adam lee they are all exceptional.

Just another thought ! a day time cruise then maybe a Go-Kart event at either Eastern Creek Karting, Picton Go-Karts or the one down the coast I think near Port Kembla ?

Thanks for starting the post up Reg.

My 2cents;

Track/driving courses would be great.

Even day runs on the weekend work for me. AFF have had a few recently (charity runs as well) which I have been along to with good turn outs.

Also what about having some dyno comps hosted by one of our many sponsors? always good fun if you make a day of it with some food and drinks

and +1 for photos, I havent been able to make any of the recent ones held.
