Hey Guys

I have an 09 fg ute on 20's with lowered king spring springs in the rear, I notice that when I turn corners or swerve down the road I got a knocking/clunking sound from what sounds like the drivers side rear wheel.

I have had the car on stands twice and double checked all my nuts/ bolts, greased up linkage and still continues to do it.

Ute only has 25,000 kms on it

Could any please offer some assistance with this problem as it is driving me up the wall not being able to solve the problem

Thanks in advance

Have you checked to see if your exhaust is hitting on anything? My BA has the same problem, and its the exhaust hitting the towbar mount.

Fair bit of movement in the exhaust rubbers down the back.

Also, have you greased between the leaves? Lowered springs can get noisy .

Mine done it in my ba then found out it was the bearing on the axel and also the axel not being tight ford told my dad as he is a mechanic that the axles can loosen off a little

Not sure if this will help but I had the same noise coming from the same area in my ba mk 2 and it turned out to be the bolt those goes throught the front leaf spring eye was loose. Locktite 271 and a new lock nut fixed the issue. Also try checking your spare wheel is pulled up hard on the tray stops.
