I'm loving my DRL headlights. I would buy the original mk2 projector headlights but I really think they should have come out with DRL's on them which forced me to buy the aftermarket ones. They cost me $450 picked up.

have your's got projectors?

What's the light pattern like on yours?

I was thinking about getting some.

I've got hid's in my standard headlights, pattern was all over the place but I aimed them a bit lower and it's ok. Not as good as could be but heaps better than standard globes.

Will I be able to drive faster at night if I get the series two headlights put in??

doubt you need the series two lights to go faster at night, *Beep* doesnt even have an fg and he is the king of the highways!

Ye buddy. There on the outside. Check my pics closely.

Thought so, was just a bit hard to see in the pic.. What are they like on high beam? Better option than the FG2s as they need wiring mods it seems to fit the series1.

I think they look pretty good actually, especially the projector/DRL combo, nice work.

From what Ive read the DRL ones need wiring mods too as they also run a single element low beam globe. If this is the case the low beams would switch off when on high beam too.

I dont think the wiring mods would be too hard, just a matter of finding the trigger wires from the headlight switch and wiring in some diodes so you can bridge the 2 together.

Yes they do I dont know if that's from HID's or normal from factory I am trying to work around this

Why not buy Bi Xenon HID's that switch from high to low beam? That's what ive got in my BA when I flick my high beams on the HID's flick to high beam too.

because they are a H7 globe not a H4 like your annoying as f*ck to other motorists in the incorrect headlights and give me the sh*ts and should be banned crap setup

there perhaps is a dual filament xenon that you can modify to use in the H7's place that is high and low

when I had my soarer I couldnt get bulbs to suit so I cut some up and smashed them in, ebay hid kits are cheap enough anyways, or just do some further research

Haha ok ok. I know they're not meant to be in there so I try to keep them angled downward as much as possible. Didn't realize H7's didn't come in Bi Xenon.

They are actually banned but I just use them cos the factory ones are sh*t..

lol was joking, I had them in a bike with normal reflectors cos everyone would try to kill me, easier to dodge them if they are blinded and slowing down
