There not that bad at night time I can't see much of a difference between them. The highbeam from what I can tell have lost a little distance but not that much.

Could this be due to the inner lights going off when you hit highbeam? If the projector runs a H7 as opposed to H4 in the original light the projector would turn off when you hit highbeam as H7's arent a Hi/Low globe. Any way around this?

I now have a set of HID's 6000K in my G6E will take some pictures tomorrow night. A massive difference and from what I can see there isnt much glare from them at all so far no one has flashed me. The headlights are made by Hella for Ford

So do your low beams switch off when you hit high beam?

I'm loving my DRL headlights. I would buy the original mk2 projector headlights but I really think they should have come out with DRL's on them which forced me to buy the aftermarket ones. They cost me $450 picked up.

Yes they do I dont know if that's from HID's or normal from factory I am trying to work around this

The FG2 must run different wiring from the headlight switch.

FG1 uses a H4 globe for the inners which is a twin element globe so when you switch to high beam the inner light switches to the 2nd (high beam) element and cuts power to the low beam element. I checked this today off the headlight plug.

FG2 uses just a single element H7 globe for the inner (halogen or HID wont matter) so if its powered from the FG1 low beam circuit it will cut out when changed to high beam.

So need to figure out a way of getting the power to the low beam when on high beam if that makes any sense.

Will speak to the elec techs at work.

Anyone got a headlight wiring diagram for FG or FG2?
