It seems like a reasonable thing (don't forget, an insurance company underwrites warranty's, not KPMs pockets, eg; IIRC, Expensive Daewoo use Swann Insurance for their genuine warranty)So, if the warranty is good, and if I spread the premium I pay over and above what other tuners would charge for the same thing over the three years I will own the car, it would cost me less than a feed at Macca's per week. The components fitted in their stage 1 tune are the same as what everyone else bolts on so there's no issues there. This leaves the question of the quality of the work. It will come down to Pro Auto's ability (or my confidence in them) to provide a good tune.It also brings into question the Ford dealer who has agreed that, for my commitment to have my car serviced with them or Pro Auto, that they will cover warranty claims that are not directly KPM mod related. ie; I get an oil leak in my diff that Johnny Ford would normally refuse because I fitted some chrome spark plugs. If they do refuse any warranty claims on the basis that I have chrome spark plugs, then the KPM warranty takes over.Fluffy McD, I'm not ignoring your advice, or anyones for that matter, just seriously considering the option.I'm not out to beat the world with a dyno sheet, I just want more than what the Falcon puts out now, safely and if I can do it with a warranty, then it's worth a serious look. It's for those exact reasons I will be going down the same path.I'm sure given enough time, other tuning companies will be offering similar warranty protection on their products & services. But for now, KPM is the only choice I could make. And with the stage 2 kit being almost 3 times the price for only an extra 9% more power, it's almost impossible to justify. Not for a road car. Good luck with everything mate.
Guest XR09 Guests Posted 11/01/12 04:07 AM Share Posted 11/01/12 04:07 AM Lots get pushed down the road from Mnt Cotton. Broken ones. They have produced thousands of these things now and know what breaks and wgat doesn't. And how they break. Not even my sports bikes are covered at the track. Most bike manufactures are pretty good with it though. Well all cept BMW. Good luck with them claiming a new gear box or top end.But I am pretty sure they are covered if you are doing a driver ed course. While having a trye smoking, qtr mile eating beast is fun. God it's nice to get into a std car and just drive after having to drive a modded one all the time.

I got mine in Feb and it has one. The only badge that Ford has stopped putting on the tail gate for the MKII is the 'Falcon' badge. Tell your dealer you want it back!
